Fusilatelist (Telephone card collector) since 1993 (though with a break of 15 years!!)
It was the Kelloggs Cornflakes Phonecard in 1993 that first got me interested in collecting British Telecom (BT) Phonecards. Though it wasn't until I was on holiday in Pembrokeshire, Wales later that year that I brought some more cards which really kick started my collection and passion for BT Phonecards. It was then I wondered how many more cards there might be to collect!
Later I joined the BT Phonecard Collectors Club (BTCC) and ended up with a standing order receiving the monthly issues through the club. Later in 1996 when the new chip cards replaced the optical Phonecards I also started collecting those too.
I continued collecting until moving to France in 1997, at which point I stopped buying and collecting Phonecards altogether.
I then started collecting again in May last year (2012) after browsing eBay and seeing the various cards that were selling at, to me, very reasonable prices. My head was still set to 1997 prices! Since then my passion for the hobby and for collecting phone cards has grown again.
